Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler I (2nd shift) – Packing at our Reno, NV facility. The hourly rate is $20.47 + .50 shift differential, core hours 2:45PM - 11:15PM. Overtime may be required.

Salary guidance notes apply and vary with skills and market considerations. Responsibilities include bench assembly, fastening parts, packing and pulling orders, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for full shift.
• Able to lift 35 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise levels; ear protection may be required.
• Exposure to forklift activity and moving traffic in a plant.
• Exposure to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
• Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must wear PPE as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may use models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack, and pull orders efficiently and accurately.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives including maintaining 5S, tracking visual management tools, and participating in Kaizen events.
• Other duties as assigned.
