Dover Food Retail in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking an Assembler II for the 2nd shift. You will pull and stock materials, assemble kits, and support production with accurate material handling. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of plant layout, warehouse mapping, equipment applications, material requirements and inventory control practices.
• Comfort with computers and data entry; strong organizational and communication skills.
• 1-3 years related warehousing or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pulls product required on work orders and ensures accuracy.
• Picks products from stock and issues components to WIP.
• Flag shortages and inform production coordinator of material gaps.
• Uses KANBAN to identify outages and improve flow.
• Aims to reduce kitting errors and quality issues.
• Reports substitutions and BOM corrections to production coordinator.
• Adheres to quality assurance procedures and safety policies.
• Maintains inventory control systems and conducts clean, organized work area.
• Works overtime as assigned.
