Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking an Assembler II in Richmond, VA for the 2nd shift. You will program, operate, and troubleshoot automated and robotic machinery to assemble sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts and tools, assembling components, measuring dimensions, and performing basic maintenance. Prior production experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical aids.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an 'A' order.
• Identify parts on the product line and their placement.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Perform assembly-type functions with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and descriptions from work orders.
• Use gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Collaborate in an assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
