Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assembler II to program, operate and troubleshoot automated machinery for producing sheet metal refrigerated cases.

You will read orders, identify parts, assemble with hand and power tools, measure with rulers, and work in a team to complete units while maintaining safety and quality standards. A HS Diploma/GED and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order and identify parts used on the assigned product line.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line and read the work order.
• Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.
• Use material gauging and dimensional data for assembly.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring instruments.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Contribute as part of an assembly team to build units to completion.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
