Job summary

Merck & Co. in Wilson, NC is seeking a Bio Process Operations Technician (2nd shift) to support aseptic vaccine manufacturing on the shop floor.

You will perform primary filling, inspection, packaging, and CIP/SIP while ensuring EHS and GMP compliance in a start-up facility. Responsibilities include organizing gowning materials, disinfectants, and materials, documenting in electronic batch records, and collaborating with maintenance to troubleshoot processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year GMP manufacturing experience (aseptic preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic primary filling, inspection, packaging, and CIP/SIP within qualified parameters.
• Maintain cGMP compliance and complete documentation in electronic systems.
• Support disinfection, material movement, and PPE handling per SOPs.
