Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Grand Junction, CO. The role involves hands-on work on aircraft systems, with opportunities to grow through FAA-compliant tasks and on-the-job training.

Shifts run Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am, offering a 10%–15% premium, paid lunch, and potential transfer to 1st shift after 3 years. Benefits start on day one and include 401(k) matching, health coverage, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance/avionics experience for AMT I; 2–4 years for AMT II; 4–6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV with corporate aircraft experience preferred.
• Must follow FAA guidelines and safety rules; strong communication and teamwork demanded.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues and perform maintenance.
• Fuel management and engine removal/installations.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in test runs.
• Inspect aircraft and components and document maintenance data.
• Ensure accurate use of training materials and manuals.
