GE Vernova in Greenville, SC is seeking a second-shift CNC Programmer to design and optimize high-efficiency multi‑axis programs for Inconel and other superalloys using NX-CAM, Vericut, and CLM. You will integrate new multi‑million‑dollar machines, mentor floor operators, and provide daily programming and troubleshooting support to ensure first‑piece accuracy and on-time production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Machinist Apprentice (or similar) graduate with 3 years of experience with graphical based CAM System CNC Programming OR High School Degree w/6 years of experience with graphical based CAM System CNC Programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for complex multi-axis setups cutting high-temperature superalloys (Inconel, Rene, and exotic nickels).
• Use Vericut for virtual prototyping to validate code and optimize toolpaths in a risk-free virtual environment.
• Develop adaptive probing routines, macro programming, and closed-loop machining processes to make complex setups smooth and predictable.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and shop-floor teams to commission new machines and establish baseline machining standards.
• Provide CNC related support to ME and operator training during new/rebuilt machine startup and process improvements.
• Provide daily operator support in CNC programming and troubleshooting on the shop floor.
• Generate and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or other software for multi-axis milling, turning, grinding and EDM.
