Job summary

Newrez is seeking a 2nd Lien Loan Consultant to manage delinquent 2nd lien portfolios, contact borrowers, and structure workout plans consistent with investor guidelines. The role emphasizes proactive outreach, adherence to FDCPA and internal policies, and collaboration with management on complex cases.

Responsibilities include reviewing income documents, arranging appraisers or inspectors if needed, and maintaining thorough records to support foreclosure prevention and recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience within collections and loss mitigation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review loan information on delinquent 2nd lien accounts.
• Contact borrowers to cure delinquency and set up payment arrangements.
• Identify and recommend workout strategies and legal strategies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and company policies.
