Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Contested Foreclosure Specialist I to support the Foreclosure Department with litigation-related matters. You will monitor accounts, liaise with outside counsel, and help maximize recoveries through the court system. Travel may be required.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of foreclosure experience, strong time management and communication skills, and familiarity with BKFS/LoanSphere and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases within the foreclosure litigation inventory as assigned by Supervisor.
• Process all requests by assigned attorneys for media issues, settlement authority, check requests, etc.
• Process all discovery, complaint and counterclaim actions as assigned; may involve executing documents.
• Provide information support to the legal recovery efforts.
• Identify issues and elevate to Supervisor; flag trends for future suits.
