Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Contested Foreclosure Specialist III (onsite) to support the Foreclosure Department with litigation related matters. You will appear at in-person and telephonic court appearances, review mortgage documents, and collaborate with outside counsel to drive timely resolutions.

This role requires 5+ years in foreclosure or mortgage servicing, strong communication and analytical skills, and willingness to travel up to 50%+.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• 5+ years direct foreclosure or mortgage servicing experience.
• Experience in the legal field with law firm desired.
• 3+ years in litigation resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of contested foreclosure cases within the assigned inventory.
• Appear in-person or telephonically as records custodian and fact witness at trials, depositions, etc.
• Read, review, and interpret mortgage loan documents for testimony on contested matters.
• Coordinate with outside counsel to drive timely resolutions.
• Track discovery requests and respond to attorneys with required information.
