Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA seeks a 2nd Assistant Superintendent to support the National Golf Course operations. You will oversee daily course activities, assist the Superintendent, and manage staff in their absence while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Turfgrass Science or related field; BS preferred.
• Calibration procedures for turf equipment such as sprayers and spreaders.
• Ability to write reports and attend meetings when needed.
• Georgia Pesticide Applicators License in Category 24 or progress toward license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees daily activities with the Superintendent and 1st Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
• Manages staff in absence of Superintendent and 1st Assistant Superintendents.
• Ensure work guidelines are followed and safety standards are maintained.
• Enforces OSHA and EPA regulations with Safety Committee; maintains a safe work environment.
• Monitor irrigation system and pump station; assist in morning setup of the golf course.
• Scout course for pests and diseases; diagnose issues and take corrective action.
• Coordinate, schedule, and monitor special projects on the golf course.
• Communicate improvements to staff and recommend procedural changes.
