Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to manage daily golf course operations, supervise staff, and ensure quality maintenance compliant with safety regulations. You will coordinate irrigation, equipment, and vendor work while reporting to the Superintendent.

The role requires a turf science background, several years in golf maintenance, and strong leadership with the ability to train staff and write clear reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Turfgrass Science or related field; BS preferred.
• At least two years as an assistant superintendent and five years in golf course maintenance.
• Familiar with calibration procedures for turf equipment.
• Ability to write reports and attend meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and executes a daily schedule in coordination with the Superintendent.
• Monitors staff performance and documents observations.
• Ensures OSHA/EPA compliance and safe work environment.
• Oversees irrigation systems, pump stations, and inventories.
• Inspects the golf course for pests and diseases and recommends actions.
