Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a 2nd Assistant Superintendent for Creek Club Golf Course to manage daily maintenance, assist the Superintendent and 1st Assistant, and ensure safe, high-quality greens and grounds.

You will oversee staff, calibrate turf equipment, monitor irrigation, and coordinate projects while upholding OSHA and EPA guidelines. A turfgrass degree is required or in progress, with pesticide licensing pursued within 6 months; generous benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Turfgrass Science or related field (working towards degree/certificate acceptable).
• BS Degree in Turfgrass Science is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees daily activities with Superintendent and 1st Assistant Superintendents.
• Manages staff in absence of Superintendent and 1st Assistant.
• Ensure work guidelines are followed.
• Enforces OSHA and EPA regulations for safety and environment.
• Monitor irrigation and pump station; assist with morning setup.
• Scout for insects, weeds, and diseases; take corrective action with superintendent.
• Calibrate and operate turf equipment; maintain records.
• Coordinate, schedule, and monitor special projects.
