Caterpillar Inc. in Pontiac, Illinois is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will assemble and test components, using hand and pneumatic tools, and perform rework on fuel injectors, fuel pumps, exhaust systems, and PETU tanks.

Training begins on 1st shift hours with a starting pay of $23.22 per hour plus a $1.00 night shift premium. Minimum 6 months of manufacturing or engine maintenance experience is required, along with the ability to follow schematics and

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing or engine maintenance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (schematics, standard work, blueprints).
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and pneumatic tools to assemble, test, rework, and repair Fuel Injectors and Fuel Pumps.
• Assemble exhaust systems and PETU tanks with pumps, wiring harnesses, insulation, and other components.
• Operate test machines.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex components to repair or replace damaged injector parts to transport prime product.
