Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II for 2nd or 3rd shift with 3+ years of experience. You will operate and set up CNC machines, read engineering drawings, and maintain quality and safety standards while adhering to GMP/GDP and 5S practices.

You will perform routine maintenance, manage tooling wear, record production data, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in tooling and machining preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set‑up CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive machining of a variety of parts and metals.
• Change dull tooling and adjust for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measurement readings.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Meet productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity.
• Record activities on the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify and elevate manufacturing issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required.
