Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II for 2nd or 3rd shift with 3+ years of experience. The role involves operating and setting up CNC machines, ensuring tight tolerances, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will perform tool changes, offsets, routine maintenance, and hand finishing while adhering to GMP/GDP practices and 5S housekeeping. A strong team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of various parts and metals.
• Change dull tooling and adjust offsets for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measurement readings.
• Maintain PM schedule and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Perform hand finishing and follow GMP/GDP guidelines.
• Record activities in the job tracking system and elevate issues as needed.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Identify and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
