Job summary

FreshDirect is seeking dependable Route Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver orders in the New York area. You will be part of our last‑mile delivery team, ensuring each customer receives their order accurately, on time, and with excellent service.

Responsibilities include operating company vehicles, loading deliveries, and maintaining vehicle condition while communicating with customers and using routing apps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent commercial driving experience.
• Valid New York State driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

The Role

FreshDirect is seeking dependable and customer-focused Route Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver orders throughout the New York area. As a key member of our last-mile delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring every customer receives their order accurately, on time, and with exceptional service.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate company vehicles while adhering to all local, state, federal, and company driving regulations.
• Load and unload customer orders with care, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent FreshDirect in a professional manner at every customer interaction.
• Maintain delivery vehicles in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
• Safely complete delivery routes in various weather conditions.
• Utilize smartphone technology for routing, navigation, and communication.
• Support a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of recent commercial driving experience.

• Safe driving record with minimal violations, accidents, or suspensions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and extended shifts as needed.

Salary

Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour
