Job summary

FreshDirect is seeking a Delivery Runner to deliver orders by foot in designated New York areas, a fast-paced outdoor role requiring physical activity and customer interaction.

Located in the Bronx, this position pays $17.00 per hour and requires English communication, the ability to handle varied weather, and flexible shifts including Sundays and Mondays.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly communicate and read in English
• Must be willing to work in any weather condition (heat, rain, snow, ect.)
• Must be able to work both Sunday and Monday
• Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings)
• Ability to complete all basic and recurring training
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs with appropriate equipment
• Prior customer service and delivery experience desired
• Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations
• Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently
• Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently
• Knowledge of scanning is preferred
• Knowledge of NYC Streets preferred

The Delivery Runner is responsible for delivering orders to our customers by foot in certain areas of New York. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

The hourly rate of pay for this role is $17.00 an hour
