Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong 2D AutoCAD drafting skills for a direct-hire role in Washington County, WI. The position focuses on custom industrial thermal/environmental systems, working closely with shop floor fabricators in a 100% onsite facility.

Requirements include a BS Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of drafting in a manufacturing environment. Local residency within a 45-minute commute is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 3+ years drafting experience with 2D AutoCAD in a manufacturing setting.
• Practical design background with heavy industrial equipment and ductwork.
• Design-for-manufacturability mindset considering shop tolerances and assembly efficiency.
• Stable work history and local residency within 45-minute commute of Washington County, WI.

Responsibilities

• Design custom industrial equipment and systems using 2D AutoCAD for client orders.
• Generate fabrication packages with layouts, schematics and BOMs.
• Collaborate with shop fabricators, welders, and machinists to align drawings with capabilities.
• Develop supporting 3D renderings as needed for reviews and constraints.
• Manage project lifecycles across core product lines and requirements.
• Refine legacy drawings to improve yield and ease of production.
