Job summary

SHR Consulting Group, LLC is seeking Storage Services Watch Officers to staff a 24x7x365 watch for the DISA J-9 Hosting and Compute environment. This role is the first line of detection and response for storage faults in a large DoD IT infrastructure.

You will monitor, triage, and respond to storage-related incidents, assist customers with backup needs, and maintain required DoD certifications on a rotating shift at RRMC in Liberty Township, PA; a TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise storage and backup/recovery platforms.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain disciplined shift turnover.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• DoD or comparable large enterprise IT environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7x365 monitoring of the enterprise storage, backup, and failover environment.
• Detect, triage, and respond to system faults across the SAN, backup infrastructure and failover environments.
• Assist customers with storage, failover, and backup needs; escalate to Tier III as required.
• Monitor nightly backup job reports, identify failures, and initiate troubleshooting.
• Escalate to Government personnel within 1 hour of degradation and document actions.
• Maintain watch logs and contribute to incident, change, and work order reporting.
