Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 1+ years of experience in traffic monitoring or related field.
• Driver’s license in good standing.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-infused environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect and report traffic incidents on Nebraska roadways and coordinate with response agencies to manage incident clearance.
• Use intelligent transportation system devices to detect incidents, verify them, coordinate response, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Disseminate traveler information via digital message signs, websites, social media, and media outlets.
• Log and manage traffic incidents in the traffic management system; dispatch incident response crews.
• Coordinate with local, regional, and statewide stakeholders and inform first responders of incidents and lane closures.
