Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Middletown, OH is seeking a Shift Manager Operations to coordinate safety and quality activities and oversee a production line in a 24/7 facility. The role manages ~15 hourly staff, leads safety briefings, and resolves issues from breakdowns and schedule changes.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of supervisory experience with strong leadership. A related degree and steelmaking knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate problems and resolve efficiently.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately fifteen hourly personnel per shift and instruct them in job requirements and policy conformance.
• Lead daily and monthly safety briefings with hourly employees.
• Resolve problems from breakdowns, schedule changes, or metallurgical procedure changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to assure efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
