Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Corporation in Middletown, OH is seeking a Shift Manager Operations to oversee a production line and coordinate safety and quality activities in a 24/7 facility.

You will supervise approximately fifteen hourly personnel per shift, lead daily and monthly safety briefings, and resolve issues from breakdowns or changes while collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient operations and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and effective management skills.
• Ability to evaluate problems and resolve efficiently.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately fifteen (15) hourly bargaining unit personnel per turn and instruct these personnel in job requirements and enforces conformance with both company and department policies.
• Lead daily and monthly safety briefings with hourly employees.
• Resolve problems created by breakdowns, scheduled changes, metallurgical procedure changes, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments and personnel to assure the efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
