Job summary

ERock is seeking a Power System Control Center Manager to lead our 24/7/365 NOC, ensuring safe, reliable real-time operation of the distributed generation fleet and microgrids. You will enforce utility-grade discipline, incident command, and precise communications with customers and field teams.

The role requires 7+ years in utility control-center or 24/7 ops and 3+ years leading operators, with switching, outages, restoration, and operating authority experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or related field; equivalent training and experience considered.
• 7+ years in utility control-center or 24/7 operations.
• 3+ years leading control-room operators or real-time operations teams.
• Direct experience with operating authority, switching, clearances and tagging boundaries, outage coordination, and emergency response.
• Working knowledge of generation, electrical distribution, switchgear, protection, and related risks.
• Proven ability to lead incident response and communicate under pressure.
• Experience developing shift schedules, procedures, drills, and performance metrics for a 24/7 org.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executives, customers, and field teams.
• Willingness to support after-hours events.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24/7/365 NOC operations with continuous qualified coverage and clear decision rights.
• Direct real-time monitoring, control, and dispatch of DG and microgrid assets.
• Enforce utility-grade operating discipline, logs, and turnover procedures.
• Govern remote switching, clearances, tagout interfaces, and service release requirements.
• Coordinate reliability events, outages, market dispatches, and return-to-service activities.
• Lead incident response, establish command, and coordinate with customers/utilities.
• Maintain real-time situational awareness and logs for handoffs.
• Develop and govern procedures, playbooks, checklists, and escalation matrices.
• Build staffing plans and manage recruiting, budgets, and vendor support.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, engineering, and vendors to sustain operations.
• Lead event reviews and continuous improvement to alarm quality and resilience.
• Provide concise updates to leadership and stakeholders during significant events.
