Job summary

Leidos in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Operations Center Specialist to support the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) by providing quality control and operational support to maintain stockpile readiness for deployment 24/7.

The role requires experience in a high-volume, mission-critical environment with the ability to respond to alerts within 15 minutes and lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend and on-call coverage are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience or 6 years with a HS diploma.
Experience in a 24/7 operations center or mission-critical environment.
Experience handling high volume incoming calls, service requests, incidents, or inquiries.
Experience documenting, tracking, and escalating customer issues or requests.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to work weekends on a rotating schedule; day or night shifts available.
On-call 24/7 with ability to respond to alerts within 15 minutes; must carry a cell phone.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide call center and operations support to maintain SNS communications between government entities and external stakeholders.
Review communications and prepare draft reports and notifications for government review.
Track and log calls, faxes, and emails using established logs and SNS systems.
Monitor designated mailboxes and notify personnel of required follow-up actions.
Summarize relevant news and provide updates to designated government personnel.
Operate OPS systems and remote monitoring devices per procedures; trigger alerts when approved.
Route communications to appropriate personnel following escalation protocols.
Inform callers about SNS programs and refer inquiries to appropriate government staff.
