Job summary

Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor to lead a 24/7 maintenance team in our Vermont plant. You will drive PM schedules, coach technicians on the shop floor, and ensure regulatory compliance across OSHA, HACCP, and FDA standards.

Youll collaborate with Engineering on line upgrades and improvements to maximize uptime. Ideal candidates bring 35 years of maintenance leadership in food manufacturing, strong communication, and CMMS proficiency, with certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 35 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Proven supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and maintenance analytics.
• Preferred Certifications: CMRP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with sanitary design, HACCP, and food-grade maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, thermal, ultrasonic).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team; spend 75% on the shop floor coaching technicians.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance using CMMS; ensure PMs and tasks meet quality and timeliness.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives; identify cost-saving and low-cost maintenance solutions.
• Ensure OSHA, HACCP, FDA, PSM compliance and train new hires on safety procedures.
• Track labor costs, overtime, and absences; align with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.
