Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies seeks a Central Monitoring Station Operator to join the Emergency Management team. This role oversees on-site emergencies at multiple campuses, serving as the primary information conduit between responders and the NLR community.

The position includes a six-month probationary period, provides training, and requires handling fire/life safety data, CCTV, and security systems with a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with 2+ years.
• US Citizenship and eligibility to access sensitive information.
• Proficiency with standard office software and procedures.
• Ability to operate under high-stress conditions with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency calls and alarms, dispatch resources, and log detailed dispatch records.
• Monitor fire and life safety alarms and security systems, generating reports.
• Provide CMS training for LP personnel.
• Interact with staff, management, visitors, first responders, and subcontractors to ensure professional service.
• Maintain 24/7, 365 shift coverage across three shifts.
