Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Identify nature and urgency of situations using approved questions.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the correct dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with focused questions and instructions.
• Apply language-access resources when needed.
• Provide approved pre-arrival instructions within training and certification.
