Gilpin County seeks an Emergency Communications Dispatcher to provide 24/7 radio and telephone dispatch for the Sheriff's Office. You will handle emergency and non‑emergency calls, dispatch deputies and partner agencies, and maintain CAD records.

Requires strong computer skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Base pay ranges from $26.74 to $34.72 per hour, with a 40‑hour standard work week and a shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with computer systems and databases.
• Training in emergency services dispatch preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow procedures under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls; dispatch units.
• Operate CAD and radio/telephony equipment.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, EMS and other agencies.
• Maintain dispatch records and ensure accurate information entry.
• Assist beyond core duties and participate in overtime as needed.
