Pima County's Sheriff's Department is seeking an entry-level 911 Dispatcher I to handle emergency and non-emergency requests, determine priorities, and dispatch law enforcement and other units from the Ajo, Arizona posting.

The role uses NG911, CAD, radio, and computer systems; training may be provided; a valid AZ driver license is required; the position requires rotating shifts and a post-offer background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass pre-employment dispatch skills assessment including typing and data entry.
• Valid AZ driver license at appointment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays).

Responsabilités

• Monitor emergency and general-support radio talk groups.
• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch units.
• Determine priorities and coordinate with field units via radio and CAD.
• Maintain logs and records of public safety communications activities.
