Job summary

California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services seeks an Emergency Notification Controller to support the Warning Center with real-time information relay and coordination across federal, state, and local partners. This in-office, permanent full-time role requires rotating shifts and compliance with background investigations.

Salary ranges from $5,193 to $6,429 per month, with the potential for assignment to alternate locations during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating clearly, concisely, and accurately during high-stress or emergency situations.
• Proficiency operating digital and analog communication systems and FEMA platforms.
• Ability to monitor, research, and validate information using multiple feeds and tools.
• Strong judgment and problem solving with rapid decision making.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate and disseminate information for 24-hour warning capability.
• Work with federal, state, and local partners to support Warning Center operations.
• Handle rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in an in-office environment.
