Job summary

We Energies is seeking a Troubleshooter (So-Gp 1) in Franklin, Wisconsin, to maintain 24/7 electric service and safety for customers and employees by responding to emergencies and routine incidents affecting transmission and distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Lineman training or documented qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and routine switching of company and customer equipment, overhead and underground, from 120v to 345kv.
• Ensure safety by applying hold-off, hotline procedures and establishing isolation zones in coordination with Dispatch.
• Interpret diagrams, orders, blueprints and maps in substations and field equipment for switching and maintenance.
• Install equipment to new constructions, energize circuits and test various components such as metering equipment and voltage regulators.
• Assist with disconnections/reconnections, meter installations and load management activities; coordinate with police and fire departments as needed.
• Respond to engineering requests and participate in safety training to ensure reliable operations.
