Job summary

Flexential in Dallas is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide 24x7x365 on-site support for customers and resources. You will handle physical security, cabling, hardware installation, and incident response while documenting actions in ServiceNow and related systems.

The role requires strong communication, Windows OS knowledge, and the ability to work varied shifts in a fast-paced data center environment. Prior data center experience is a plus, and reliable transportation is necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Windows and Microsoft operating systems.
• Must be a self-starter, reliable and dependable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-4 years of IT/Data Center support experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by prioritizing satisfaction and professionalism; respond to customer phone calls and emails promptly and effectively.
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues and alarms with Flexential Infrastructure. Follow ERP processes and escalate to engineering staff as needed.
• Perform physical security walkthroughs and manage sign-in/badging procedures for customers and visitors.
• Document time spent on tasks and support cases including installations, expansions, outages, and remote hands activities.
• Follow Flexential Cabling Standards and document shift activities for continuity of operations.
• Install hardware in cabinets per Flexential best practices and ensure proper cabling, labeling, and testing.
