Flexential is seeking a Data Center Technician in Fort Lauderdale to provide 24/7 operational support for customers and internal teams. The role requires handling hardware installations, monitoring infrastructure, and maintaining security and cleanliness of the data center.

You will work with Windows OS, incident response, and ServiceNow ticketing while collaborating with engineers to resolve issues and meet SLA expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
• Understanding of Windows operating systems and basic IT concepts.
• Self-motivated, reliable and dependable with good time management.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with prompt responses to inquiries.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate technical issues with Flexential infrastructure.
• Perform physical security checks and manage sign-in procedures for customers and visitors.
• Document time spent on tasks, including installations, outages, and remote hands activities.
• Ensure accurate entry of labor and adherence to cabling standards.
• Follow ServiceNow and other systems for ticket updates and task execution.
• Keep data center clean, organized, and stocked with tools and equipment.
• Support hardware upgrades and standard operational tasks under supervision.
• Identify and diagnose physical layer issues through cable testing and inspections.
