Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician for Data Center Engineering Operations. You will operate and maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot incidents, and perform preventive maintenance on 12-hour rotating shifts.

The role requires current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a strong compliance mindset. You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of data center infrastructure,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of network design and low-voltage cabling.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (HVAC PMs, filters, rack power, PDU/ATS).
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights).
• Take operational readings and manage CMMS workflows.
• Supervise contractors for maintenance.
• Respond to off-hour emergency calls.
• Comply with security procedures and policies.
• Support innovation to reduce operating costs.
