Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to support data center electrical and mechanical systems. You will perform rounds, monitor controls, troubleshoot incidents, and help maintain critical infrastructure across multiple VA sites.

The role requires physical endurance and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with occasional on-call rotations. Join a team focused on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement in world-class data centers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and/or fire suppression systems.
• Knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling is preferred.
• Experience in data center engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS and troubleshoot facility events within SLAs.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and repairs.
• Prepare technical change management documentation.
• Manage work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors per procedures and local laws.
• Adapt schedules; shifts can be up to 12 hours with potential on-call rotations.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites.
