Transitions – Mental Health Association in San Luis Obispo County seeks a part-time Crisis Line & Dispatch Specialist to provide 24/7 crisis support by phone and text, triage, de-escalation, and dispatch coordination throughout the county.

The role involves cross-training across hotline and dispatch functions, using SmartCare and other tools, and collaborating with hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work assigned shifts in a 24/7 program.
• Ability to work across multiple systems (EHR, dispatch, tracking tools).
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations.

Responsabilités

• Answer crisis calls/texts from the public and partners; provide emotional support and crisis triage.
• Determine appropriate response and coordinate dispatch to the right team.
• Maintain dispatch tools and coordinate transportation and placements as needed.
