Job summary

Transitions Mental Health Association in San Luis Obispo County seeks a Crisis Line & Dispatch Specialist to deliver 24/7 crisis support by phone and text, triage, de-escalation, and resource linkage. You will coordinate dispatch to Crisis Response Teams, psychiatric placements, and transportation while collaborating with hospitals, law enforcement, and TMHA programs.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires trauma-informed, client-centered service and ability to work across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 24/7 shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer crisis calls and texts, provide emotional support, de-escalation, triage and referrals.
• Coordinate dispatch to appropriate crisis response teams and arrange transportation as needed.
• Maintain documentation in approved systems and track placements, transportation, and outcomes.
