Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, MIS, or Data Analytics.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
  • Available to work 38.75 hours per week.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.

WoodmenLife is looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our team!

Ready to make an impact this summer? In this role, you will help deliver insights that support business goals by participating in analytics, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience working through the planning, execution, and evaluation phases of real-world projects while learning how data drives decision-making within the insurance industry.

Gain broad exposure to the WoodmenLife organization by meeting weekly with the Internship Cohort, collectively with Executive Leadership, and one-on-one with leaders at the division level.

Summarize and present capstone presentation of the internship experience including project accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings.

Collaborative Teamwork in Agile Environment:

Learn to operate effectively within a collaborative, Agile-driven team environment, contributing to cross-functional efforts that support strategic and departmental goals .

Develop an understanding of scalable and maintainable enterprise data warehouse and BI system architecture, including foundational principles and best practices.

Data Analysis and Strategic Insights:

Support data analysis efforts by extracting, transforming, and interpreting complex datasets to generate insights that inform strategic decisions, manage risk, and improve operational efficiency.

We N eed S omeone W ho H as:
  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college, currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics or related field(s)
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working collaboratively.
  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.
  • Passion for making an impact in local communities
  • Growth Mindset: Demonstrates adaptability and resilience by embracing challenges, learning from experience, and supporting change to continuously grow and improve.
