The custodian handles routine cleaning duties including dust mopping, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, trash removal, bathroom cleaning and furniture polishing. This is a part-time role across multiple shifts for the 2026-2027 year.

Montgomery County Public Schools is accepting applications for student custodian positions that may become available during the 2026-2027 school year for the Blacksburg Strand. Shifts will vary depending on school needs and the student’s schedule. This posting is open to Montgomery County Public Schools, Virginia high school students only.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The custodian performs routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and polishing furniture.
