Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking student custodians for the 2026-2027 school year at the Blacksburg Strand in Blacksburg, VA. Shifts vary with school needs and student schedules; open to MCPS Virginia high school students only.

The custodian handles routine cleaning duties including dust mopping, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, trash removal, bathroom cleaning and furniture polishing. This is a part-time role across multiple shifts for the 2026-2027 year.

• Proven ability to read basic operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• The custodian performs routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings (dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming).
• Dusting, waxing, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms and polishing furniture.
• Support school operations and community activities as needed.
