Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, 1st Shift, in Reading, PA. You will lead the production team Tue–Sat 7:00 AM–3:00 PM EST, ensuring timely mail flow and meeting postal deadlines.

The role requires 1 year of supervisory experience in USPS-related areas and 2 years in production/mailing. Proficiency in Excel/Access and Office tools is expected; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in areas where USPS requirements are applied (presort, mailroom, etc.).
• Minimum of 2-years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access along with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production workers on designated shift.
• Supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
• Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversees quality function throughout the production area.
• Ensures Total Quality Management (TQM) processes and procedures are always followed.
• Assists Operations Manager in completing USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and applying USPS postal regulations.
• Ensures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.
• Offers suggestions to increase efficiency of equipment usage, working conditions, and employee motivation.
• Be responsible for other duties as assigned.
