Job summary

Labor Network, Inc. is seeking a QC Inspector for the 1st shift in Elgin, IL. You will inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using gauges, calipers, and micrometers, and document outcomes.

POSITION: QC (Quality Control) Inspector

HOURS: 1st SHIFT

• We provide transportation to and from all jobs – free of charge!
• Job available on first-come, first-served basis.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products against specs and drawings.
• Measure parts with gauges, calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Perform visual inspections for defects.
• Accept, reject, or hold product based on inspection results.
• Document inspection results and keep quality records.
• Report nonconforming product and notify production or a supervisor.
• Keep the inspection area and equipment clean and organized.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

JOB TASKS:

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections during production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and control plans.
• Collect and log data, which may include SPC.
• Tag and segregate defective or suspect material.
• Maintain and use calibrated measuring equipment.
• Retain sample parts and file inspection paperwork.
• Support audits and customer or internal quality requirements.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
