Job summary

Labor Network, Inc. is seeking a QC Inspector for the 1st shift in Elgin, IL. You will inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using gauges, calipers, and micrometers, and document outcomes.

You will read blueprints and control plans, log data, and report nonconformities. The role demands attention to detail, basic math, and clear communication to support quality audits and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings, specs, and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy.
• Basic math skills for measurement calculations.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.

• Willingness to flag problems to production.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and finished products against specs.
• Measure parts with gauges, calipers, micrometers.
• Perform visual inspections for defects.
• Accept, reject, or hold product based on results.
• Document inspection results and quality records.
• Flag nonconforming product and notify supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized inspection area.
• Read and interpret blueprints and control plans.
• Collect and log data, including SPC.
• Tag and segregate defective material.
• Maintain calibrated measuring equipment.
• Support audits and customer requirements.
