Job summary

Ppswork is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 1st shift in Alliance, OH. If you are fluent in measuring parts and reading blueprints, and thrive in a detail-oriented environment, this role is for you.

You will inspect parts, document findings, and work with machinists to resolve quality issues while maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement in a newly equipped facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect manufactured parts for accuracy and quality.
• Read blueprints to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Document findings and flag issues before they escalate.
• Collaborate with machinists and production to address quality concerns.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure products meet customer specs.
• Suggest process improvements to uphold quality standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Inspect manufactured parts for accuracy, workmanship, and quality.

• Read blueprints and technical drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision measuring tools.

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.

• Identify defects, document findings, and flag issues before they become bigger problems.

• Work with machinists and production teams to resolve quality concerns.

• Maintain inspection records and verify products meet customer specifications.

• Help improve processes and keep quality standards on point.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing tolerances.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Basic computer skills and accurate recordkeeping.

• Dependability, organization, and the ability to communicate with a team.

• Machining, metal fabrication, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
