Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Reports To: Quality Manager or Production Supervisor

Job Summary

The QC Inspector is responsible for examining materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. The role involves conducting inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and working with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to approved specifications and inspection plans.
• Use measuring and testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Verify product dimensions, appearance, workmanship, labeling, packaging, and functionality.
• Record inspection findings accurately and maintain complete quality documentation.
• Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming materials or products.
• Issue nonconformance reports and support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures, drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Communicate quality concerns promptly to supervisors, engineers, and production personnel.
• Participate in audits, process improvement activities, and quality training.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are followed.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and workplace policies.
