Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production teams in a safety‑driven, quality‑conscious environment at our South Chesterfield facility in Virginia. You will coach front‑line staff, drive daily standard work, and partner with supply chain and quality to meet targets.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, data‑driven decisions, and strong communication with all levels of the organization. Flexible hours may be required to support production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to interact and work effectively with employees at levels of the organization.
• Must be willing to work extended and/or weekend hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and hourly production employees; ensure safety and quality.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement; conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain inventory control procedures for raw materials.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, shipping and other departments.
• Respond promptly to operational issues impacting customer expectations and cycle time.
• Enforce company policies and build morale among associates.
