Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for our South Chesterfield, VA location. The role provides leadership to team leads and hourly production staff, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop daily standard work, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet targets and maintain inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and hourly production staff; ensure safety and accountability.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive continuous improvement; conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain inventory control for raw materials required.
• Coordinate with supply chain, quality, shipping, and other departments.
• Ensure timely response to issues impacting customer expectations.
