Job summary

UFP Industries in the United States is seeking a Production Department Supervisor to oversee multiple shifts and departments, driving safety and continuous improvement while meeting cost and production goals.

You will train and coach staff, manage equipment and inventory, and participate in safety programs. A minimum of 3–5 years in manufacturing with 1–3 years in people management is expected.

Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing; 1 to 3 years managing people.
• Ability to set up and manage agendas with clear timelines and visual aids.
• Strong communication and listening skills; ability to engage and question.
• Proficiency with Inside UFPI resources, policy training, and navigation.
• Knowledge of Citrix usage and professional email etiquette.
• Experience with the Precise Plant Quality Program and quality issue troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail and ability to implement double-check systems.
• Ability to maintain day-to-day routines while adapting to flexible periods.
• Effective daily communication and accountability for production expectations.
• Commitment to safety and working with safety leaders on JDA’s and JSA’s.
• Training in machine audits, LOTO, and safety improvements.
• Knowledge of CI principles (5S and TPM) and communicating their value.
• Technical knowledge of machinery and maintenance coordination.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and standard work instructions.
• Ability to provide daily feedback and conduct employee reviews.
• Experience training employees and emphasizing safety and safeguards.
• Self-awareness to reflect and improve.
• Able to complete Forklift Driver licensing.

• Prepares reports and maintains records.
• Participates in Safety Committee activities and adheres to safety standards.
• May drive forklift as needed; performs other duties as required.
