Job summary

Home Chef, based in Bedford Park, IL, is hiring a Production Associate for the 1st shift (7 AM–3:30 PM) with Thursdays and Fridays off. You will label, portion, bag/kitting meals and ship while following floor safety and food safety SOPs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to GMPs, SQF, and company standards. Eligible candidates should have a willingness to grow in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment and enjoy collaborative work.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma preferred but not required.
• 6+ months of production/warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with others as a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from Supervisor or Production Lead to fulfill production requirements.
• Label packaging at the standard average rate.
• Use proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while picking ingredients in the meal bagging/kitting process.
• Visually inspect produce.
• Ability to transition between tasks when needed.
• Must work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail and work as a team to reach shipping goals.
• Follow all GMPs while onsite at the facilities; keep work area clean and assist in EOD cleanups.
• Adhere to safety guidelines (i.e. proper lifting techniques) and support SQF/quality programs.
